I have been eating in restaurants in Worcester, MA for some time now. I love the food in Worcester. Like post post-industrial New England towns it has become a mecca of recent waves of immigration paving the way for affordable, home-cooked, ethnic cuisine.
Here are just a few of my favorites:
One Love Cafe
Fantastic Jamaican Food and Atmosphere
One of my favorite restaurants in Worcester. The warm, cozy atmosphere compliments the open kitchen with chef Venice cranking out some delicious Jamaican classics makes you feel like a guest in someone's home. From jerk chicken to whole fried fish to curried goat, you can find it all here. You are encouraged to BYOB. Red stripe beer or a couple bottles of wine are best. Entrees are between $8-15.

Maria's Kitchen
Puerto Rican Fair
Don't expect to spend more than $10 for more food than you can handle. Order off the menu or just go up to the counter and point to what looks good if your Spanish is less than perfecto.

Sabor Tropical
Great Brazilian Food
This modest buffet has about a dozen items, but each one is superb. Load up and pay by the pound or go for the all you can eat price.

One word of caution. These restaurants aren't in the nicest parts of town. Don't be turned away by the surroundings though, any adventurous eater will be well-rewarded.
If you do want something a little more on the beaten path you can check out:
Tortilla Sam's
Wanna Be Mexican Food
Personally, I never touch the place, but many people swear by it. You can be the judge.
